Respected Principal, Teachers and Friends,

Good morning to all of you

I am (……………) of class…………..

The celebration is for commemorating the glory of the native lands.

The date of the celebration 9th of August of every year.

The word ‘indigenous’ refers to the people living in their native area, communicating through their ethnic language.

It was first recognized in the year 1994.

People celebrate this day by getting to know their native culture, art, languages, etc.

It makes people aware of many indigenous languages that are on the verge of extinction.

On this day, the United Nations group of Indigenous populations held the first meeting.
