Today we
are going to listen about International Day of
World's Indigenous People
The celebration is for commemorating the glory of the native lands.
The date of the celebration 9th of August of every year.
The word ‘indigenous’ refers to the people living in their native area,
communicating through their ethnic language.
It was first recognized in the year 1994.
People celebrate this day by getting to know their native culture, art,
languages, etc.
It makes people aware of many indigenous languages that are on the verge
of extinction.
On this day, the United Nations group of Indigenous populations held the
first meeting.
People recognize this day in all parts of the world.
The natives are celebrated and remembered.
There have been several groups recently that ensured to rescue the
extinction of many indigenous people and their culture.
