Respected Principal, Teachers and Friends,

Good morning to all of you

I am (……………) of class…………..

Today we are going to listen aboutInternational Day for the Remembrance of Slave Trade and Abolition

The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade celebrates its abolition on 23 August

The International Day for the of the Slave Trade was celebrated for the first time in many countries, most notably in Haiti on 23 August 1998

This day is celebrated to mark the tragedy of the slave trade in the memory of all the people

It is a day to honour the memory of men and women who paved the way for the end of slavery and dehumanization. This day is celebrated globally.

This day is considered very important.

The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade organizes different events on the day of its abolition.

The theme reminds us that although slavery may have been abolished, its impact remains to this day, and to understand where to go from here, it is important to examine history with a critical mind

Thank you and have nice day ahead.
